In 1977, a $55,000 grant from the George Whittell estate along with matching local funds permitted the construction of an animal clinic where veterinarians could now perform spay and neuter surgeries as well as provide emergency medical care for ill or GWCinjured animals that arrived at Animal Humane. The Clinic was constructed by Jaynes Corporation and named in memory of the generous grant from the George Whittell estate.

Today, our renovated Donor-subsidized Veterinary Clinic provides quality medical care for not only the 5,300 homeless pets that we shelter annually, but also to the many qualifying pet owners who cannot afford to take their pets to private practices.

Thank you for helping us provide five decades of support to the pets in our care! ‪#‎50YearsSavingLives
