The admissions process will take 30 – 45 minutes. Please bring your cat in a carrier if possible; we do not accept surrenders of cats or kittens in traps. We do not admit cats or kittens who cannot be handled.

Animal Humane is currently at capacity and unable to accept dog surrender requests.

Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department: City residents can request an Admissions Appointment via 311 or schedule online:
Bernalillo County Animal Care Services: For residents outside of Albuquerque but within Bernalillo County, please click here to schedule your appointment
