You will be: 

  • Assisting leadership with handling employee relations matters, such as offers of employment, compensation, promotion, and termination decisions. 
  • Championing performance management processes and education. 
  • Providing guidance and working with leaders to navigate performance improvement and documentation. 
  • Recommending compensation structures and conducting position reviews. 
  • Writing employee documentation for support in various employee relations activities. 
  • Ensuring compliance with Animal Humane’s policies and procedures by conducting regular compliance audits and providing staff education and support. 
  • Responsible for staying up to date on all relevant state and federal laws and ensuring organizational compliance with document retention policy. 

You have: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a generalist. 
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certifications 
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization. 
  • A solid knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, etc. 
  • Familiarity with unemployment and Workers Compensation claims. 
  • Excellent computer skills as well as HRIS (iSolved) experience.
