This time last year, Raj was living at the end of a chain. This sweet, one-eyed American Pitbull mix and both of his brothers were poisoned in their yard, and Raj was the only survivor. When it looked like Raj would need medical attention to remove his remaining eye, a kind neighbor brought him to our shelter to receive the treatment and love he needed.
With all Raj had lived through, you would understand if he was hesitant or even afraid of people. However, Raj refused to let his early experiences dampen his loving and gentle spirit.
After 77 days spent in our care and relearning how to navigate his new, sightless world, Raj received the gift he truly deserved–a warm home and a loving family who absolutely adores him. His new mom and dad even installed a special doggy door for Raj, so he can use the backyard on his own terms… for as long as he wants.
