The second step required for handlers interested in becoming a Warm Hearts Network Volunteer Visiting Team with their dog. All new visiting team members are required to complete the Handlers’ Workshop prior to team testing.
This is an entry-level course for humans; dogs do not attend this class. During this full day workshop (9:00 am – 4:00 pm), we will discuss the tools needed by you and your dog to be successful as a volunteer visiting team. Attendees will learn more about Warm Hearts Network program specifics, dog handling and visit responsibilities and skills, patient/client interactions, policies and procedures, and be able to review test items one last time before testing day.
This workshop is $15.00 per human. Information about registration will be given out at screening.
