Train Humane
We offer a variety of dog training classes at all of our locations for your convenience. Animal Humane employs reward-focused training techniques designed to strengthen your relationship with your pet. Pet owners are taught how to reinforce good behavior and remove rewards to discourage inappropriate behavior. Animal Humane does not promote choke chains or prong collars. Pups in the Park
Pups in the Park will not be taking place during the winter months and will resume March 2, 2013
Perfect for those new puppy owners with busy schedules, Pups in the Park offers Saturday socialization sessions on a “drop-in” basis. Puppies will learn how to improve their doggie social skills through interactions with puppies close to the same age in a positive, safe atmosphere. Each session is 45 minutes in length. Limit 2 puppies per person.
Dog ages: Under 6 months only

Puppy PreSchool
6-week course of training and socialization
Start your puppy off on the right paw with playtime with other dogs and interactions with new people. Puppies will also receive training in general manners such as sit, down, stay and coming when called. Coaches will be available to answer questions about behavior issues such as housetraining, chewing and jumping up on people. Click here for our training class policies and rules.

Civilized Canine
6-week course of training
Is your dog new to training or need a refresher course in basic obedience? Dogs will receive real-world basic obedience training in sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and coming when called. Perfect Pub Pet
The best dog training class you’ll ever take!
Animal Humane’s professional trainers will help you and your dog learn how to behave in a bar/restaurant setting.
The first round is on us, so you can relax and test out your new skills.
$15 per human & dog pair
Last Saturday of every month from 12pm to 1pm. Registration includes a pint of beer of your choice!

505 Pit Crew Pit Bull Training Classes
8-week training course
Do you own a Pit Bull? Are you interested in training and agility?
This 8-week training course is offered specifically for Pit Bull owners and their dogs through our 505 Pit Crew. Dogs will receive real-world obedience training in sit, down, stay, loose-leash walking and coming when called. Common behavior issues such as housetraining, jumping on people and mouthiness when excited will be addressed, along with discussions of Pit Bull care. In addition, you and your dog will be introduced to our agility equipment and work as a team negotiating obstacles and running our agility course. This will give you and your dog an introduction to the fast-paced fun and competition of agility. Owners must be 12 years of age or older. Click here for our training class policies and rules.

Introduction to Agility
7-week training course
Come learn the basics of agility in a fun, light-hearted setting. You and your dog will learn the main components of competition agility, but without the intense rules and stress. Agility competitors teach their dogs to do commands from afar, to pause in a given command, and to climb, jump or weave through special equipment. Agility activities are wonderful for both physical and mental stimulation for you and your dog. This 7-week course provides an introduction to agility, the fastest growing dog sport, and is a great way to strengthen your dog's basic obedience skills while learning new behaviors. Dogs must be at least 5-months of age and have had basic training to participate.

Pre-novice Agility
7-week training course
This course builds on our Intro to Agility course. Dogs learn all the agility jumps and obstacles while their people learn successful handling skills and strategies for agility trials.
