Shannon O’Keefe,
Director of Administration
Shannon joined Animal Humane’s team in January 2010. A University of New Mexico graduate (2003), Shannon received a BA in Communication with a minor in Professional Writing. With a diverse professional background in marketing and retail management, Shannon’s most recent experience working at a local homeless shelter, led her to pursue a career at Animal Humane.
Working for the welfare of animals has been her life-long passion. A native of Santa Fe, NM, she spent most of her childhood rescuing stray pets and soliciting her neighborhood for donations in support of World Wildlife Fund and Greenpeace. Still motivated by philanthropy, Shannon continues to help those in need. She currently lives in the North Valley with her three rescued dogs, Francis, Franklin and Nico.
