Dr. Jackie Blanchette,
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Jackie Blanchette joined Animal Humane's team in February 2011. She is a native New Mexican, hailing from the southeastern part of the state. She graduated from NMSU at Las Cruces, NM and then went on to Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine to graduate in 2003.
Afterward, she returned to Albuquerque, NM and worked with a variety of animals such as horses, sheep and goats, dogs, cats, cattle, and even a few skunks. Dr. Blanchette also learned veterinary acupuncture at CSU and enjoys having another way to help her patients. When she is not busy in the hospital, she enjoys running and hiking with her dog, Roxy, baking, making improvements on her home and gardening.
