This course is held at our Main Shelter Location, 615 Virginia SE in the Learning Center.

The first class is a human only orientation - please do not bring your dog.

Is your dog new to training or could use a refresher course in basic obedience?

Dogs will receive real-world basic obedience training in sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and coming when called. Common behavior issues such as housetraining, jumping up on people, mouthiness when excited will also be addressed.

In order to protect all participants and to offer the best learning experience possible, we reserve the right to decline entry to any dog that presents issues that may be overly dangerous, disruptive or that may be exacerbated by participation in group classes.  If we feel that a group class is not the best option for your dog, in lieu of the course one of our behavior staff will work with you and your dog privately at our main campus for a total of three sessions.
