The Nestle Purina Pet Care Company recently approached Animal Humane to be 1 of 17 shelters to submit a story for their national Tales for the Pet Lover's Heart Program. We proudly shared details of Baby Cakes, the badly burned puppy that was surrendered to our care and is recovering beautifully in our campus Clinic. Our entry earned us a $3,000 gift.

With your help, we can turn this gift into $50,000. From April 19-July 31 the public may vote for their favorite story online. The top 5 finalists will receive cameras to create a video and an additional $11,500. The finalist will receive $50,000.
