Not 18 yet, but still want to help Animal Humane's pet residents?
Here are some service projects which you can do at home or school which will benefit our pets:
Clean out your closets at home and donate gently used toys, games, clothing and household items to our Thrift Store. (Thrift sells these things to raise money for the animals).
Hold a raffle - Ask local businesses to donate prizes and you sell tickets. Be sure to make posters and flyers letting everyone know that proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the animals at Animal Humane!
Organize a work day for the animals - Recruit your friends to wash cars, rake leaves, collect items for recycling, walk dogs or provide other services and donate the fees for your services.
Create a special event like a talent contest, a photography show featuring pets, a play or a dog walk. Sell tickets to people who attend or participate in the event.
Teach kindness to animals by creating a book, play or puppet show about humane animals care and share it with younger children.
Research the facts about pet overpopulation and develop a report or presentation for your school.
Create a bulletin board at your school, church or community center which displays pictures of the pets available for adoption at Animal Humane.
