  • Swiftly Finding Forever Homes

Many factors influence the length of stay of pets in our care. In our newest issue of Paws for Thought, we share stories to demonstrate the average amount of time pets stay with us before finding their forever homes (page 5). Prince Edward, a Manchester Terrier mix puppy, was surrendered to Animal Humane from an unexpected litter in May. Edward arrived with four litter mates and his mother, who all spent several weeks in Foster Care while the puppies grew strong and healthy. When they were old enough, each was sterilized and made available for adoption. Prince Edward was adopted a short 4 days afterward! In fact, all of Prince Edward’s siblings and his mother were adopted within 5 days. You can read more about how quickly dogs & cats find homes in Paws for Thought online.
